2015 Interlab Study Results
The 2015 Brooks Rand Instruments Interlaboratory Comparison Study for Total Mercury and Methylmercury report was issued on May 15th and is available for free. The study, now in its fifth year, is the largest of its kind in the world. It serves as an important quality assurance tool for labs interested in validating their performance against that of their peers. It also provides an estimate of the variability that can be expected between labs in the mercury analytical community. The majority of participants in the study received a performance score of “satisfactory” or better for total mercury (84% of participants) and methylmercury (82% of participants), indicating that most mercury-analyzing labs produce high quality data. Brooks Rand Instruments conducts this study on an annual basis. If you are interested in participating, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
