MERX Training Course

Brooks Rand Instruments invites you to attend a custom MERX training course May 27th through the 28th.

The MERX training session is designed to accelerate your learning of the chemistry, analytical technique, sample preparation methodology, and instrument operation for total mercury and methyl mercury analysis. Over the two days we will focus on automated analysis using MERX instrumentation for total mercury (by EPA Method 1631) and methyl mercury (by EPA Method 1630). Each day will be arranged with a mix of both class time and hands-on laboratory time.

  • System Maintenance
  • Troubleshooting
  • Operation and Maintenance of the Model III CVAFS Detector
  • Chemistry fundamentals
  • Overview of Sample Preparation for total mercury analysis (EPA method 1631)
  • Overview of Sample Preparation for methyl mercury analysis (EPA method 1630)
  • Sample Analysis
  • Analytical Preparation
  • Software Setup
  • System Operation

The course will be held at our facility located in Seattle, Washington. Lunches and refreshments will be included for all attendees. The course price is $1000.
